We had salmon last night for dinner. It was the whole big half fillet and it was g.o.o.d. ! We used to get small pieces from walmart - but this whole bigger piece was so much better! :)

Making something for dinner before I go to work! Yesterday it was stew, today I put together shepherd's pie for Julie to have for dinner tonight. I get to have it too, just at midnight!! :( It's still going to be very tasty I'm sure! :)

I about froze my butt off when I took Reavy to the park (the island!) early this morning! But, he REALLY needed to go or he would have given Julie mucho problemos this evening! :( Anyhoo - since it's kinda cold, I put together some stew for Julie to eat later on for dinner. I can't wait to get home after work to eat some myself!! :) YUM.

We ate over at Jenny's place and I cooked the turkey over here. It was AWESOME food. Way, way too much food! We were so miserable!! :( But damn, it was GOOD! We didn't eat anything today until 4pm - and with a few cocktails under our belts...feeling MUCHO better!! :)

Reavy's new park!

This morning/afternoon we took Reavy to his
new park to throw his ball for him. Much prettier than where we used to take him in Crossett! We also take him directly behind our house in the school playground, but we usually only do that in the evenings or weekends. This park takes MAYBE 3 minutes to drive to. I could totally walk there if I ever felt like it! :)

Slowly but surely...

We are getting there. I had planned on finishing it up today, but it just didn't happen. I went to Walmart with Jenny - we are slowly getting some food in the house. Tonight we had our first real home made meal - I grilled some steak and Julie made her totally yummy twice baked potatoes! :) It was so good to get a break from frozen pizza, sandwiches, rotisserie chickens from walmart, etc.! Then I took Reavy to the pond/park thing in Ravensway. It was cool until two random dogs came along, so we had to cut it short and bail before it got ugly! He's NOT friendly to other dogs.period.I also went to Home Depot and returned some stuff that we got that didn't work, so that was cool, it was about 20 bucks worth- though she gave me CASH - god, I HATE cash. Why couldn't it be put back on my debit card?? You know, the same one that I bought the shit with?? Ugh! Anyway, I did get the kitchen squared away and some more stuff boxed back up - yes, we brought too much shit! But, it's not too bad, probably about 3 or 4 boxes will have to get squeezed into Jenny's storage. :) :) I'm really hoping to get it completley finished here in the next two days before I have to go to work. Once that happens, we'll be SO HAPPY! We are totally loving being back. It's AWESOME. It's totally groovy having Jenny and Linda right over there-especailly when our hot water wasn't :)....that would have SO sucked if we were here alone. Anyway, we are both looking forward to being all settled and having things back to normal. Yay! Ohh! I picked up dog poop today too!! How excited are you to know that?!?! :) :) But, we're (that means me) :) going to have to do it dilligently here. It's great having a space for them, so it's totally worth it! Alrighy then, I'm whipped! Off to nightly night land!! :)

Why the Tiffanie (pre-Delyn) was always posting at 2:57am like I AM! I thought- what a crazy bitch- how can she be up so late??........Well, tonight I closed for the first time in my handful of shifts at the B & N...and am finding out it's REAL easy to be "getting" ready to go to bed at 3am! I feel like I am 20 something and am working at Bennigans! But MAN OH MAN - I forgot how nice it is to have like your WHOLE entire day to do shit- like, I don't know...finsish unloading a fucking 26 foot long U-Haul truck packed full of your shit (by yourself because SOMEONE conveniently "hurt" her leg! :) :) :) :) :) :) (and actually, she said it didn't hurt as bad today- so that's good), and THEN go to work! How cool?! And tomorrow is even better...I go in at 5:30...I have basically the WHOLE FUCKING DAY to get shit done - ie- unpack boxes and make space to, uh WALK! We have WAY to much shit! Ugh. :( Anyhoo - I need to shut the fuck up or I'll be going to bed at 4 instead! (that's kinda crazy) Nighty night! :)

About what is going on here with me, but I really just haven't wanted to post anything because I am not live IN C-Town right now. Or basically ever again!!! YAY! Sorry Jules. :( So, since Tiffanie was wondering about the status of my blog, I'll try to figure it out! I definitely will have to change the title if I keep it going.

So this is what's going on right now - today I am going to try to go look at some houses. I don't know if Jenny can go with me or not, but either way I'll try to get to see some. Then, same thing tomorrow. Then Jenny is going to LA for work, so I'll go with her so I can go home for a few days...YAY! YAY! YAY! Thank you Jenny!! :) Then when I come back I will start working...YAY! YAY! YAY! Thank you Tiffanie!! :) So that's it in a nutshell. HOPEFULLY, we will be able to get Julie her by November 1st. Keep your fingers crosssed! :) Now, let me go find some pic to put with this!! Because, that's what I do!! :) :)

all treadmills are NOT the same!

So-I went to Austin with Jenny yesterday while she was there on business. The hotel she stays at has an exercise room - so I went down and got on the treadmill for an hour.....OMFG! What a workout! It took me about 10 minutes before I got the incline to "NOTHING", which is my setting at home, amd about another 10 to figure out what speed SEMI-corrolated with our treadmill at home! Ugh. Needless to say, I DID NOT attemp to do it again this morning while Jenny was with a client before we left Austin! I've been ussing Jenny's stationary bike while I've been here, and I don't like it much - I'm a treadmill kind of exercise guy- but, after THAT evil Austin hotel treadmill, I'll be happy to get on Jenny's bike tomorow!! :) Though- I can't WAIT to use MY treadmill again!!! :)

In case you didn't know.....

It's like the end of the world here in Houston. Yes, a killer Cat 2 hurricane named Ike is out there in the gulf getting ready to blow into Houston! Whatever. I guess it's the Colorado boy in me - but it's just some wind and rain...blah blah. I DO REALIZE that it's going to TOTALLY FUCKING SUCK if the power goes out. THAT is something I am NOT looking forward too! :( But other than that, it's no big whoop! The only preparing we needed to do was fill our tanks (just to be on the WAY safe side - they DO actually run out of gas here) and we got some food yesterday, and this morning we went to Walgreen's and got some batteries! :)

It's been all rainy here lately, which is totally great because it's cooled WAY down...yay! So I put together a pot of spaghetti sauce today, it's been on the stove since 1:30 or so, and it's looking and smelling fantastic! I made it with only whole tomatoes that I crushed up - usually I use diced tomatoes and sauce - so I am looking forward to tasting the difference it makes! Plus, it's ALL we can smell so we are both REALLY ready for dinner! :)

The Life of Riley.....

Well, apparently Riley has taken her chance this afternoon to get REAL comfy! It has been storming this afternoon, so Aidan (total fraidy cat) and Reavy (suddenly becoming one) want NOTHING to do with anything that is not the floor. If they could paw their way THROUGH the floor, I'm sure they both would! :) And yes, we will be sleeping with those pillows tonight!!!
