Preparing for Wednesday!

Well, a little anyway, it's a start. Just some gum and some smarties and those nasty sour starburst that Jenny accidentally bought! :) We had a whole bunch more, but it was all the chocolate stuff, so....that left the basket before we got to the checkout. There's NO WAY that stuff would have made it until Halloween. - so I'll just go on weds. and get some more!!

Tater Tot Casserole...OMG!

This was SO GOOD! And, it's kind of sad, b/c we have had this recipe in our little recipe book for at least 10 years- and not once have we made it! It came from Julie's mom- Julie doesn't remember it- but apparently, they used to eat it a lot when they were kids. She said that they had it for when their dad watched Monday night football. Well, yay Monday night football! This one's gonna be a repeater around here!! :)

CHILI! Remember those tomatoes all over the table this summer?? Well, I cooked some of them down and then added them to this - the funny part was is that I was going to go to the store JUST for another can of diced tomatoes, b/c it was going to be WAY too spicy for even Prilosec to handle, and I needed to dilute it w/ more of something else. Then before I went to do that, my sister called and I told her I was making chili, blah blah and she reminded me that we had a bazillion chopped up tomatoes in our chest freezer in the carport!! Maybe I should start taking some Ginkgo-Biloba w/ that Prilosec!! :)

Yes, I'm quite sure you are all aware, or rather have heard one of us joking about such things...but really, things are a sandwich shy around here. OK. our property (house) taxes were due by Oct. 10. or there's a 10% charge or something - I KNOW this. But, wanted to make sure that $ was there before the check was sent. No biggie. So TODAY, we get something in the mail from the county collector - so I tell Julie to open it (I am driving) and see how much extra they are charging us for being late...no biggie....What a bunch of total fucking complete idiot MORONS....did they CASH our $$ whatever check and send us something that says we owe blah blah more- like I TOTALLY expected (that's normal...right?) NO. They didn't fucking CASH the check that they had in their hot little hands - NO - they sent it back to us telling us THIS - verbatim...we received your tax payment postmarked________. The deadline for paying your 2006 taxes without a penalty was Oct. 10, 2007. The amount you owe is $________ This amount will be collected until our delinquent list is published in the newspaper. After that there will be additional charges. If you have a questions, please feel free to call us.

Like HOW fucking stupid are you people? Like THAT question? Like WHY the fuck wouldn't you cash a check that you HAD... and THEN send me another bill for the insignificant extra amount that I now owe? Or did you think that I didn't "get it" that when I sent my check to you that it was INDEED late and I would be charged the penalty and that the ONLY way my shallow gene pool, inbreed, cretin mind would ever POSSIBLY understand all of this SUPER CONFUSING information was to send me my fucking check back telling me, basically that I owed fucking less than $20 MORE? Whatever. I seriously wanted to call them this afternoon and tell them ALL of this, but Julie didn't let me b/c she didn't want me to have a heart attack over it- so I have chosen to TOTALLY flip out about it on my blog. Sorry, but really sometimes the things and the people here are just WAY, WAY too much for me to deal with. UGH! So thank you very much stupid fucking idiot moron tax lady....You can now COMPLETELY fuck off, I am spending the FUCK out of this extra money that you refuse to take out of my bank account, and I will pay you, OH, I don't know....NEXT fucking October 10th! Gloomy monday

So it's all icky and rainy and dark here......perfect day to go back to bed!! That's EXACTLY what we are doing in about 2 seconds!! :) :) I think we're just going to lay around and watch TV, but if we happen to take a nap-what the hell!! :)

We just CAN'T WAIT for it to get COLD!!!! So, earlier today I decided to get us all prepared! :) This Mon, Tue, & Wed the low is supposed to be 43, Thur it's 40, and Fri & Sat are 46....YIPPEE!! So, if it's cold enough ANY ONE of those mornings....we're SET! :)

Home made dog toys are FUN!

You see Tiffanie, THIS is what I was talking about...we usually have to come up w/ some way to renew and extend the life of the cheap ass dog toys we get at Wal-Mart!! Yes, that is a SOCK going through that bulbous toy thingie there! And it was a BITCH to get it through too, let me tell ya!! :)

Yes, sadly, Diet Bubba Cola from Save-A-Lot is actually quite an improvement from that Rite Aid Big Fizz crap! At least this stuff doesn't taste FLAT upon opening!!

Sometimes Tivo really blows

Like today! first it took an HOUR or more to download-and it wasn't like we were going to run out of info tomorrow-we were set all the way through NEXT Friday!! So that phone call was HALF the cost of the monthly service fee. UGH. PLUS the dogs hit the phone cord the FIRST call of almost an hour, so that was interrupted and I had to start all over- so really, I think we just paid our $12.95 fee over again in two phone calls, because OUR calls are not FREE because we live in the middle of fucking nowhere apparently!! :( And THEN- this is what we have to do- restart the damn thing for some stupid service update that most likely won't do JACK for us- and as you see...another fucking hour!! And when it does this- the TV is rendered basically useless!! UGH!!

Big FIZZ my ass! This crap came from the skanky (Jenny can attest!) Rite-Aid in Bastrop, LA. Big Fizz diet cola really, really SUCKS! Drinks made w/FLAT tasting coke are pretty knarly!! Guess that's what we get for trying to make it a one stop shop!!

So blogger works again and I can upload picture....Yay!! This is the after the ice maker mess! I suppose that I should see if my dad can fix it before I take it out.

Stupid Ice Maker part deux

It really doesn't surprise me, because we have the shittiest luck on the fucking planet- I SWEAR- but it still really pisses me off that this new fucking refrigerator has an ice maker that's doing THIS! So today, I decided to just say fuck it and turn the damn thing off. So now we REALLY have to crack ice- we did anyway, because the piece-o-shit ice maker couldn't keep up...with US, TWO people- it's like a 22 something cubic whatever fridge- that's on the large side-what the fuck?! It can't keep up w/ 2 people?! what if we had kids (ick) or a roommate ?(double ick) Yes everyone, I think I'd rather have a spawn of my own that used ice rather than a roommate! Though, you'd THINK I'd rather have a roommate since he/she would have to GIVE US MONEY!!! :) AND I leave you w/ the de-iced fridge pic-MUCHO better! Minus that whole having to crack lots of ice thing!! :( Actually, I'll have to post it next b/c blogger is having a little issue at the moment!!

We re-deranged!!

We were both out of work early on monday, so we decided we wanted to try to rearrange our living room. We had been talking about it- we LOVE changing it up- Julie had wanted to switch our bedroom w/ the living room b/c of the fireplace but I told her NO FUCKING WAY EVER!!! :) :) Aren't I sweet?! So anyway, we thought we'd NEVER be able to come up w/ anything but what we've already had in the living room- but we were wrong! This set up it going to be super COZY when we get to start having fires!! :)

YAY! It seems Fall ISN'T able to get up!!!

Dinner last night

It was supposed to be kind of like a roast- we had some beef ribs- so I cut them up into pretty large chunks, then added potato, onion, some green beans and some cream of mushroom soup. Wala! Dinner is served. And it WAS good, and I think we are going to chunk up our roasts like this from now on, BUT they weren't beef ribs, they ended up being pork, and since JL isn't a big fan, I ate it for lunch today and will be doing so again tomorrow!

We spent our Saturday night with Mango, Cranberry, & Watermelon Martinis. :) We also watched Deja Vu -it had Denzel Washington in it and a really FAT Val Kilmer (like I should talk-but I was never Iceman !!). It was just all right- but we really didn't have much else to watch-we had pretty much cleared out our Tivo shows earlier in the day!

All for $31.90- This store R U L E S !!!! Of course, NONE of it is a brand that anyone except Cindy has heard of (they have them in TN too) but we don't care! It's cheap as shit and it tastes good - Pretty much the only things we've ever not been able to handle is generic Ketchup and A-1 Steak Sauce! :)

What a combination!

So this was our total poor white trash din din from the other night. Mac and cheese, chopped up hot dog fried up in a skillet, and ranch style beans. It was really fucking tasty to my surprise- and since it's cheap as shit- we're going to have it again tonight! Any one want to come over for this really fancy dinner?! :) :)

Apparently I still have allergies...

because I have been totally sneezing, having watery eyes, itchy nose, ETC! since about a day after I stopped taking one of these little suckers at night before I went to bed. You see, the capsule kind helps you sleep, and well DUH, they help keep allergies at bay too. I have had allergies pretty much since I was in high school- I used to get shots from my doctor when we were in Houston. However I hadn't really thought about them much, because I have been taking one or two benadryl pills before I went to bed for a really long time now. I think I may have even thought that my allergies were perhaps not as bad as they once were.....WRONG. I want to die, Julie probably wants to kill me - if not for the tossing and turning all night, definitely for the sneezing! UGH.
