Dance Dance Revolution!!!!

Shannon (my niece) is spending the night with Uncle Willie and Aunt Julie tonight- here she is giving her best shot at DDR! She had fun- we have since moved on to Ravin Rabbids- I think she's really liking that one, next I think we are going to load up Pacman World- that one is fun and REALLY kid friendly!! (and yes, we LOVE that game!! ) :)

Keith's little sister....

So sad. This is Lori and her two beautiful daughters. She passed away this morning. She was 31. I haven't seen her in many years, but I remember her as being so nice and sweet many years ago when I first met Keith (before Julie) she was my favorite sibling of Keith's (he has four). I spoke to Keith yesterday when she was in a hospice and it wasn't looking very good. Anyway, don't want to bring everyone completely down, but I'm sure I have. Sorry ,I just wanted to pay my respects to my best friend's little sister. It's just so unbelievable.

One of the best by-products of Thanksgiving.....

TURKEY SOUP!!! Yum!! So, I am going to go eat one of those little bowls that are cooling RIGHT now! :) And I have absolutely NO IDEA why this is underlined or HOW to turn it off-Stupid free blogger!! :)

PLAY STATION II !!!!!

Or PS2 if you're cool- but obviously Julie and I are DEFINITELY NOT COOL- as it is 2008 almost and we just got a video game console! AND the only reason we got it is because Jenny came for Thanksgiving and she came bearing gifts!! How cool is that!? So she got us a PS2, and Dance Dance Revolution or DDR as Jenny called it- see I told you we weren't cool. IT is totally fun, but MAN does it make you realize you age or fatness or BOTH! :) She got us some more games and an extra control while she was here too-believe it or not- there is a Game Stop in Crossett! So anyway, yesterday after Jenny left for home, we went to Game Stop and got some more games and we played that thing ALL DAY yesterday! It was a blast. TODAY, while most people at this particular time of year would be re-arrange their living room to put up a Christmas Tree, etc...WE were re-arranging OUR living room for OPTIMUM GAMING!!! Because, right now, really that's all that matters!! Last night the dogs kept tripping over the cords etc, and we wanted top be closer to the TV-the Atari Anthology game (SO FUCKING AWESOME) unfortunately, is WAY WAY too small. You would think that the people putting it together would have realized that the only people that would want to play Atari anything would be almost 40 , so perhaps they should have made the fucking graphics JUST a bit bigger! UGH. But, it's totally awesome. So I am going to go play that tiny ass Atari shit right now! :) And oh- who REALLY needs to open their FRONT door when they don't get mail delivered at the house and they have a BACK door that they ALWAYS use.......Cool! Looks like our Christmas Tree will be going in the space in front of our FRONT door- because after what we did today- there is no where else to put it!! :)

More Thanksgiving

Yum, yum, yum. It was SO tasty. We had a really nice dinner yesterday afternoon, and afterwards we took Reavy to the park to launch his ball for him-so Jenny could see how amazingly fast he is! I guess if you are supposed to be able to hunt LIONS-you probably need to be able to run pretty fucking fast-and he does!! :) We had a fire going all day, so that was nice-drinking commenced around the end stages of preparing dinner :) Julie and Jenny looked at old family photos on Jl's computer and had a great time- then we watched Death Proof -GOOD movie, but really, we'll have to watch it again from the point that JL fell asleep again tonight! :0 Took dinner and pie to the next door neighbor, Pauline (aka Oldie) anywho- that's about the extent of it!! :) Hope everyone had a nice one too!

THAT sounds good! Today, I cleaned the fireplace out and got it all ready to start a new fire for when Jenny visits, yes, just Jenny, like I said- Julie, Jenny and I were not going to believe that their mom was coming too until she was in Jenny's car! So, that's sucky- but- we are still going to have a total blast and AWESOME Thanksgiving! It would have been even awesomer if Tiffanie could have come- but there's always US going THERE next time! :) So, today I also got the leaves off the lawn-just in the back- fuck the front- we don't even HAVE an Oak tree up there- so basically, my NEIGHBOR'S should get their happy asses to work in our front yard!! :) And, oh yes- the picture- I did the leaves so I could make this nifty little outdoor fire pit- kinda like camping- just in your backyard!! - Gotta love cretin-y, O-Zone burning (JUST for you Jenny-that post was rather hysterical!!! :):) :) Arkansas!! :) The plan is Thanksgiving night it's supposed to be chilly- so Julie, Jenny and myself are going to go out into the backyard and have a campfire and drink! But, wow, smores sound dee-lish!! :)

Okay, so I feel like a TOTAL dweeb, but I LOVE this game, and for that I blame, MY WIFE! She found it- she showed me how to play it and tells me how to get through levels and all cuz she's all cool and has gone through it all! Anyway, it's silly and retarded, but FUN. We can (and do) play it for hours and hours-ah, maybe THAT'S why my upper back is FUCKING KILLING me lately!! :)

Dinky ass crock pot!

So, my sister borrowed our GIGANTOR crock pot last week, and since we were reheating some corn chowder in ours, she brought over her CRAPPY DINKY ASS crock pot for us to use THAT day. Well, unfortunately, it got COLD, and she was in FL w/ my bro-in-law, and YES, I'm too lazy to drive over there and just get it myself- but hey- maybe I don't have any fucking gas (actually, SURPRISINGLY-we do!) Regardless- like I was saying, it got COLD- so today I made some stew for JuJu and I had to use this crappy crock pot! Sure it's big enough for TWO people- but when we make a crock pot deal- WE WANT TO EAT IT FOR DINNER, THEN LUNCH, THEN DINNER, AND MAYBE EVEN POSSIBLY LUNCH AGAIN! UGH! Not the case tonight! But- dinky ass crock pot did OK. It was GOOD!

Thanksgiving planning!

All the talking that Jenny and I were doing yesterday about our Thanksgiving plans - Julie's sister FOR SURE is coming, and possibly her mom, but we'll all believe that only when she's on a 7 hour ride in Jenny's car!! :) So, all the turkey talk got me all excited about making a yum-o turkey, and all the other crap that goes with Thanksgiving! Shit!! We've got another disaster in our itsy-bitsy sized spare room,[isn't everyone SHOCKED?! We seriously need a laundry doing/folding/maintaining class!!:) ] and generally, our house is a WRECK! - We'd better get cracking!! OH, and OF COURSE- I just got a call this morning about a new deal coming in (work)- so that's really going to put the pressure on!! but I am NOT complaining- we TOTALLY need the money....BAD! :) :)

WHERE'S TIFFANIE?!?!?!

Okay, so Tiffanie has not posted AT ALL since October 12th. THAT was a long time ago. And, I do realize that she was recently promoted , stayed w/ Jenny for a week to get away from her pseudo boyfriend , and even found a new place to live.................. But......WHATEVER! I for one am not cutting her any slack! Post! Post! Post! No one cares how busy you are, yada, yada, yada!- I mean really, you act like you work in retail and it's almost the Holidays- Jeesh!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Our Piano

This is our really cool (we like the antiques) piano- My parents got it when I was playing from like 6th-11th grade. It made it from Colorado to Texas in the 90s (my sister had it) Then when they moved from Houston, I kept it since it was MINE! :) It lived at my friend's Keith's house (well, his mom!) for quite a few years, then when Jl & I moved into the house in Katy, we got it back. I'm sure she was really glad to get it out of there! :) In addition to being Really cool, it's REALLY fucking heavy & really really BIG. SO-if we ever move we have thought about saying hasta la vista to it and just taking the front part viewed here. There's another intricate lower part that we would take too. We could hang them on the walls and that way we'd be keeping what we really like about it- the pretty wood panels! I RARELY play it anymore- once in awhile to freak the dogs out if anything!! :) What a mean daddy I am!

So everyone knows how much Reavy LOVES his ball...right? Well, HE DOES! We always take him over to my sister's whenever we go over there. There's way more room there to use his ball launcher, and he just loves it. So there is a baseball/soccer field here in town that has this huge mowed area even before you get into the actual park- so we go there and launch his ball for him- it's like 2 minutes from the house and it makes him oh so very happy! :) :) I took a couple videos of him when we went earlier today- it's not the best quality b/c I was doing it myself and facing the sun- but you get the idea.

Fakeos Pecos

So we have come up w/ a new cheap ass cheap version of Pecos Casserole- aka- Fakeos Pecos! We use a box of mac and cheese (made like you're eating mac and chz) and one can of ranch style beans. It's super yummy, and super easy. We put some cheese and crispy bacon on top last night, it was DEE-lish! :)

Reavy on our bed the other day as we can FINALLY leave our bedroom door open again during the day! (that's b/c it's not hot as shit any more - we REALLY need to get some heat/cold blocking curtains for the bedroom!! )

Slowly but surely.....

Looking out from our dining room window and from the carport, the leaves are slowly falling off of the trees. We LOVE fall and winter!!

Bread robots are AWESOME!

My parents gave us their bread maker this summer and we pulled it out and finally started using it. It's gigantic and it totally reminds us of R2D2 from Star Wars, so we call it our bread making robot! It is SOOOO much easier than making bread from scratch like I used to do -mainly because you have this HUGE mess to clean up after you make it- w/this thing you just throw everything in it and presto - change-o..... bread in just a few hours!! :)

So, in case that actually happens, we decided to bring our Eucalyptus in. I think the other plants can hang for a night, it's not supposed to stay in the 30s for too long before it goes back up- so putting the rest of the plants into the alley house (aka - serial killer barn) can wait until later.
