My sister and Daryl were in Denham Springs last weekend and they brought home some Louisiana Strawberries. Now if Louisiana has strawberries that are any better than from another state, I couldn't tell you, but they are pretty damn good for March! So we had some strawberry shortcake for dessert...yum!

whipped cream has it's place, but cool whip belongs on strawberry shortcake!! Just my opinion!!

I couldn't stop thinking about this today, so I had to buy some strawberries, cool whip, and a Sara Lee pound cake. :) Yummy!!
I don't really like making whip cram anymore after the tries with low-carb. It's just too rich and greasy and totally grosses me out! :(
Pound cake. Yum. I wish that I would have just gotten that! I thought that the little cups we got would be extra yummy - but they were kinda stale-ish, and it really brought the whole SSC thing down a few :( However, I got TWO packages, and the second one is MUCH better! :)
Well, I guess I could understand an aversion to whipped cream after eating a lot of it on a low-carb thing. But to me cool whip is greasy. And if it's not dairy, what is it? I think it's a petroleum product and why this country will never be free from foreign oil -- we're all a bunch of fatasses who must have our coolwhip! It's just a theory though : )
