why do icemakers NEVER work?

all right! so it's bad enough that in order to have enough ice-we still use ice trays even though we HAVE an ice maker....but WTF?! now, as you can see, our ice maker is more into making "icicles" more than "ice" so GREAT! the thing that's soooooo annoying is that it is a NEW refrigerator!! it was ONE year old in like may or june! UGH!
